Description
After the war, few automobiles were left in working condition. Additionally, gas was becoming more and more sparse as a result of damaged infrastructure and excessive use for tanks, planes, etc. A common solution after the war was to remove half of damaged or useless cars and to fashion horse-drawn chariots from the bodies. The abundance of horses and farmland in the area made this a common practice, and today the chariot is the most common mode of transportation in Phanes bay. It is not uncommon for Barren to make a living creating and selling these vehicles to Phanes bay residence using materials left-over from old car factories, however some factories have been repurposed to create chariots on a larger, more sustainable scale. This had made chariots more accessible, not only to Humans who had priority ownership due to a need to access hospitals as fast as possible, but now to Barren as well. Most Human households have at least one chariot, whereas about 2/3 of Barren households have a chariot.
